Freedom of Sleep est un projet interdisciplinaire sur le thème de la désynchronisation du corps et de la société organisé par Anabelle Lacroix, commissaire d’exposition indépendante, dans le cadre d’une résidence curatoriale d’un an à la Fondation Fiminco à Romainville. Celle-ci se termine par une exposition (21 avril au 16 mai 2021) dans La Chaufferie, les espaces d'exposition de la Fondation situés sur un site industriel au nord-est de Paris qui abritait les usines pharmaceutiques Roussel-Uclaf.
Ce projet à été développé avec le soutien de Titanik (Turku, Finland), ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (Berlin, Allemagne). Il se compose de plusieurs temps forts avec une programmation culturelle et performative, une édition en ligne et une journée d'étude, la Station 19 du Laboratoire Espace Cerveau de l'Institut d'Art Contemporain de Villeurbanne (IAC). Freedom of Sleep à été lancé lors de la Nuit Blanche 2020, en direct sur Subtext et Threads radio.

Freedom of Sleep is an interdisciplinary project that explores the desynchronisation between our bodies and society. Curated by Anabelle Lacroix at Fondation Fiminco in Romainville, the project takes place within the framework of a one year residency. The project concludes with an exhibition (21 April and 16 May 2021) at the Foundation's exhibition spaces, in an industrial space in the north-eastern suburbs of Paris that housed the former Roussel-Uclaf pharmaceutical factory.
This project was developed with the support of Titanik (Turku, Finland), ZK / U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (Berlin, Germany) and consists of several events with talks, performances, an online journal and a study day, the Station 19 of the Espace Brain Laboratory of the Institut d'Art Contemporain de Villeurbanne (IAC).
